We started soup-er Saturday as a one time thing in 2016. We asked the community to come together, and donate soup, baked goods, auction items and non perishable food items. We made it a day for family and friends to come together and have a fun day while helping others. It was such a wonderful day with so much support that we decided to do it again the next year. We are very excited that this is our fourth year.
Our amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others. We organize Soup-er Saturday to raise money and non perishable food items to help support neighbors in need in our area.
Our goal is to do as much as we can to support our community, and the local food pantries.
Due to covid-19 there are a lot of changes to Soup-er Saturday this year. We have canceled our big event, but still want to help the food pantries as much as possible. We will be having a drive thru event on October 3rd, 2020 in the parking lot at the Defiance Moose Family Center. We will post the menu as soon as it's confirmed. We are working on donations for an online auction, getting details for raffles, and setting up a go fund me (scroll on down to the bottom of the page and click the donate button to help us out.) for donations. We will gladly accept non perishable food items, paper products, and personal hygiene items. We can set up a time for drop offs, you can bring them by the drive thru or we can arrange to pick them up.
Thank you to all the food pantries and volunteers that joined us. It's kind and caring individuals like you that make this world a better place for everyone.
Our event page has more information about what we are planning. Come see what's new!

We can't begin to express our gratitude to Campbell's Soup for donating over 39,000 pounds of food to Soup-er Saturday for Neighbors in Need. 15 food pantries benefited from this wonderful donation., and will be able to help a lot of people.
Keller Trucking donated their time and service to pick up our donation from Campbell's soup. They also let us use one of their warehouses to distribute the food to the food pantries. It's amazing people and companies like them that make our community so wonderful.
